About Us

Learning first.
Love also first.

As a training-first facility, Peace Love Dogs exists to strengthen the bond between family pets and their pack through education-based programs, true teamwork, and a few well-deserved treats.

Everything we do is rooted in positivity — and backed by research.

So whether we’re working with your dog for the first time, welcoming them back for boarding, or simply treating them to a fresh haircut, we’re proud to welcome all who walk in our door.

Regular Exercise

Dogs have plenty of energy. Let them run outside or romp with friends and they’re more likely to respond to training—and less likely to get into trouble at home.

Consistent Communication

If you have a dog, you talk to your dog. But it takes training for them to truly understand our expectations and become a happy, well-mannered companion.

Mental Stimulation

Though most household pets don’t guard sheep or pull sleds, each breed still has goal-oriented instincts. Mental exercises keep them entertained and engaged.

Our Facility

Though our gallery gives a good overview of our space, we prefer the grand tour. Stop by during business hours and we’ll happily show you around.

How did you get into dog training / grooming / care, and what’s your favorite part of your job?

I started in the dog industry as a kennel tech almost 10 years ago, and then I mentored under a trainer that I met there and fell in love with training. I had daycare experience, group class experience, attended many conferences and workshops to always add to my knowledge and understanding of dog training. My favorite part of dog training is feeling like you are contributing to the community in a positive way.

If you were a dog, what kind would you be and why?

Border Collie because I have a lot of focus and drive, which can be beneficial to me but can also get in the way sometimes.

When you aren’t helping pups and their parents, what are you up to?

Learning more about dog behavior, working with my dogs, sending time with my family, and I enjoy being outdoors bike riding and excercising.

How did you get into dog training / grooming / care, and what’s your favorite part of your job?

I started at Peace Love Dogs about 6 years as a Daycare Counselor. It was my first job in the dog industry, so I had a lot to learn and loved spending time with the dogs every day. One day Anna approached me about officially becoming a dog trainer, and the rest is history. My favorite part of my job is building a relationship with all the pups I work with. Once I have a good relationship, it makes my job way more fun!

If you were a dog, what kind would you be and why?

Pitbull because I have the sass, I’m super over protective, loyal, and I have a sense of humor.

When you aren’t helping pups and their parents, what are you up to?

Playing with my dog, being with my nephews, and I also like to watch makeup tutorials and practice the different styles and techniques.

I got into dog training through SeaWorld Pets Rules Show back in ’05, and loved every minute of it. My favorite thing about my job is helping to bridge the communication gap between parent and dog, and I love seeing the parents fall even more in love with their dog.

If you were a dog, what kind would you be and why?

Jack Russell Terrier because I don’t understand down time, I’m always on the go, and am easily distracted by shiny things.

When you aren’t helping pups and their parents, what are you up to?

Video games, sewing, and reluctantly cooking.

How did you get into dog training / grooming / care, and what’s your favorite part of your job?

I grew up with someone who was terrified of dogs and was always told dogs are mean. I eventually learned that they are just big babies and I absolutely love them! I’ve been working in the dog industry for 3 years, and I love every minute of it because I feel like all the dogs I get to see at work are like my own personal dogs. My favorite part of my job is simply spending time and interacting with the dogs every day.

If you were a dog, what kind would you be and why?

Irish Setter mostly just because I love them, but they’re beautiful and very sweet.

When you aren’t helping pups and their parents, what are you up to?

How did you get into dog training / grooming / care, and what’s your favorite part of your job?

I grew up with all kinds of animals. My dad worked for Texas Parks and Wildflife rescuing animals. Anything from racoons to baby aligators. We would rehabilitate them for release back into the wild. My grandfather was a vet for along time. I started fostering dogs, and fell in love with helping dogs become more adoptable. I realized the more time I spend training with them, the faster they were adopted. My favorite part of being a dogs trainer is helping pet parents grow with their pets and have a better relationship.

If you were a dog, what kind would you be and why?

Cocker Spaniel – they are gentle, easy going, and sometimes pee a lot.

When you aren’t helping pups and their parents, what are you up to?

When I’m not training dogs I am painting, reading or tending to all of my plants. Instead of a crazy cat lady, I’m a carzy plant lady.

My goal is for them to have a stress free and fun experience in the salon!
